Hi, Karen. I am with you on that. I became manager very early and I know how unprepared and confused I was with the complexities of relationships and the process of feedback. In such situations, as an young manager, you feel naked and exposed to the people you manage because they see things you've never known were part of you. It takes a lot of work to develop the self-awareness and new skill sets and competences that are needed. And of course, vive versa- as an employee you get exposed to the team and to management. And then, you either dig a hole for yourself and start blaming it on the people, or you start working on yourself. When I got out of executive roles, and became a management consultant, I still thought it is about skill sets and competences, that can be taught. But it is about much more than that and each situation is deeply unique. That is when I started with Organizational Systemic Constellations because I realized how deep are the undercurrents that define relationships and organizational life. And then that lead me to Family Constellations because a lot of what we bring into the workplace is initiated in the family system. My experience has taught me that a lot of the money invested in the training industry, in team building, and even in coaching, can be a total waste of time and resources unless we go to the root causes. This was a really long explanation that what you offer is very precious. And yes, constellations lay the foundations on which healthy and effective coahing can continue. Best of luck!
